Patterns is a multi-purpose event space located opposite the iconic Brighton pier on the seafront. It hosts everything from Weddings to Brand Launches, Club Nights to Summer Parties.

Built on the former site of a 1920’s hotel, the recent refurbishment of Upstairs pays homage to its Art Deco roots with original stained-glass windows and exposed brickwork, complemented by warm cedar paneling and modern dashes of colour.

On its doorstep is our sea-facing terrace, the perfect sun-soaked spot to observe Brighton’s bustling seafront – accompanied by cold drinks, a sizzling BBQ and live acoustic sets.

Downstairs is a world-class live performance space renowned for its programme of internationally acclaimed bands and DJs and is kitted with state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment and lighting rig to match.

Weddings

Our quirky space offers a different style to you special day, away from the convention, this is why people love it!

We can cater for an intimate sit-down dinner, or a more relaxed, informal standing reception.

Coming from London? Escape the big smoke for this year’s summer soiree. We can arrange coach travel to and from London for your company. If you feel like staying the night, we have some great sea-view Air B&B flats you can stay in above the venue for up to 60 guests.

Main Bar

Our bright, airy and beautifully refurbished Upstairs has retained key elements of its Art Deco design features, combining a mixture of exposed brickwork and stained-glass windows with warm cedar panelling and modern dashes of colour and greenery. The space leads directly onto our sea-facing terrace, making it the perfect sun-soaked spot to observe Brighton’s bustling seafront – as well as enjoying an ice-cold beverage from our menu.

We serve a wide range of premium spirits, wines, local beers and classic cocktails, plus have teamed up with some of the best catering teams across Brighton and London to create a set of delicious food menus.

Our secret private space, The Hidden Room, is ideal for groups of up to 50 guests and come equipped with its very own bespoke copper-topped bar and sound system, plus has both seated and standing areas.
